Your care will begin with an evaluation during which you will share your concerns and goals and describe the symptoms and difficulties you are experiencing. An examination will follow this, which may include assessment of your range of motion, strength, posture, walking pattern, balance, flexibility, and the mobility of your joints and soft tissues. Next, a treatment plan, personalized to your needs, will be implemented including hands on treatment and exercises to restore the health and function of your movement system. An integrated whole person approach is utilized to look beyond the area of pain and address the dysfunctions that are causing the symptoms.
Functional Manual Therapy is a comprehensive approach to examining and treating the soft tissues and joints of the body, along with assessment of posture and movement, and neuromuscular reeducation of functional movement patterns to optimize the body’s structure and function.
Myofascial Release is a gentle, hands-on treatment focusing on improving the health and mobility of the fascial system of the body, which is like an uninterrupted spider web from your head to your toes. Fascia is connective tissue that surrounds all the other structures in the body. Inflammation (due to trauma, poor postures, repetitive motions, infection, stress, environmental toxins, diet, etc.) causes fascia to become restricted (meaning a change from elastic and hydrated to rigid and more solidified). The JFB method of Myofascial Release works to restore the elasticity and health of the fascial system.
Visceral Manipulation is a gentle manual therapy that facilitates better communication within the body by treating restrictions of the viscera (internal organs) to restore normal movement. These visceral restrictions limit the movement of our organs. Organ movement is vital for our health and wellbeing and is needed for body movements like twisting and bending and also for normal functioning of our organs (digesting, eliminating, breathing, etc).
CranioSacral Therapy uses light touch to treat the connective tissues of our central nervous system and to balance the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems of the autonomic nervous system resulting in improved function of the craniosacral system, enhanced relaxation, and better health of the entire body.
“Jill is amazing at restoring my body!! She has fixed me so many times from aches, pains, TMJ, pulled muscles and major problems. She is my go-to person for Physical Therapy. She’s so integrative, that I don’t see a chiropractor anymore. She has solutions outside of the box, to avoid surgeries and pain medications. I love and trust her holistic approach.
“Jill Fraundorf is an amazing physical therapist! She has helped me tremendously in so many ways over the years with various issues I've had neck/shoulder pain, a trigger-finger issue, a sprained ankle and with knee pain due to old injuries. Jill determines the best course of action, and through many different types of therapies and treatments, she has allowed me to get back to my normal activities in a very timely manner, every time I see her. She is professional, friendly and truly cares about healing patients and getting them back to their "norm." I recommend Jill for any kind of physical therapy needs; she is excellent in every way!”
“Jill is an amazing, talented, professional Physical Therapist with decades of experience. Her demeanor is kind, soft spoken and gentle. Her knowledge of integrative Physical Therapy modalities is very broad. She has specialties in Cranio Sacral therapy along with Visceral Manipulation. I was personally treated by her for TMJ and a frozen diaphragm along with other injuries. Every time I left her office feeling great and amazed at her competence and intuition to know exactly how to approach my problem. Thanks to Jill I feel great! I highly recommend her.”
“I highly recommend Jill’s customized, integrative approach to physical therapy. After completing a round of conventional therapy for an injury, I was still experiencing residual stiffness and pain. I was also trying to avoid a surgical solution and that is when I was introduced to Jill. Fast forward to present and I am 99% back to my old self with no surgical intervention. I credit Jill’s skills, techniques, and consultative coaching for my marked improvement. Jill used a combination of therapeutic techniques to address my concerns including myofascial release, visceral manipulation, and functional manual therapy. Additionally, she recommended exercises for me to do at home. I believe wholeheartedly that her integrative approach to my problem is what allowed me to avoid surgery. I am grateful for the help she provided. I still see her on an occasional basis for tune-ups or to target other areas in need of her expertise. I always look forward to my sessions and leave feeling better than when I arrived.”
“Jill is awesome! I have had some issues with my ureter and kidneys and have seen urology, a urogynecologist, and nephrology. No one seemed to be able to figure it out. After months of episodes and 5 ER trips, I started seeing Jill and she started working on my ureter using visceral manipulation. I have now gone 6 months without an attack. She may have saved me from extensive surgery and I am so thankful. She is honest and will let you know her thoughts. She will work with you and your doctors if need be. She is the best!!!”
“Jill Fraundorf is an incredible physical therapist. Jill’s education and experience in the body and systems is exemplary. Her expertise in Myofascial Release has truly provided me with a better quality of life. Jill has helped me recover from hip surgery; not only with mobility, but improved scar healing. She understands the digestive system and has improved my gastric emptying and flow. My wife has also benefited from Jill’s knowledge after carpal tunnel surgery and an injured hamstring, and for overall well being. Jill truly has a gentle touch and healing hands. I recommend her with the highest regard.”
“Over the years Jill has guided my recovery from a variety of injuries and aches and pains including torn ligaments, neck and upper back pain and stiffness, low back and SI pain, tennis elbow, and a calf strain. Most recently, I had developed nerve pain and a throbbing sensation in my hands following hard days of working in the yard shoveling and completing other landscaping tasks. This pain would wake me up during the night and last for days following the strenuous activity. Following the first treatment with Jill, I felt immediate results, and the nerve pain I was experiencing in my hands diminished substantially. I was able to sleep through a night without being woken up from nerve discomfort and quickly returned to being free of this pain. Jill is an asset to the PT profession and has a range of advanced skills that few physical therapists possess. Her specialties of myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, and visceral manipulation allow her to treat a diverse span of ailments. Jill is kind, a great listener, professional, knowledgeable, and a blessing for those she works with.”
“Jill is absolutely amazing. I have seen her multiple times through the years for different conditions, and so has my husband. Stuff I thought was going to take months to heal improved dramatically, oftentimes with just one or two sessions! She is patient, caring, and deeply intune with the fascia of the body. I would highly recommend her to anyone, but particularly people struggling with any kind of chronic injury or trouble zones due to overuse.”
